About Me
I have worked for Bracknell Forest Council since 2009. This was a sideways career step due to the credit crunch. Prior to this I was self-employed since 1991, before that I worked for an architectural practice, and when I first left Manchester Polytechnic I worked for a landscape contractor in West London. I also taught on the garden design course at The Inchbald School of Design for 18 years, and did shorter periods tutoring/lecturing at Middlesex University, Kingston University, Berkshire College of Agriculture, Merrist Wood and Morley College.
I've designed three Chelsea Flower Show gardens, spanning from 1985 and '86 to 2006.
I now team manage landscape design, biodiversity, public rights of way, development of new public open space, commenting on planning applications, and am learning a lot about Biodiversity Net-Gain and planning for Green Infrastructure.
