I worked for Bracknell Forest Council from 2009 to 2023. Retiring from work on 31st July, and my LI status is now retired. Prior to working in the public sector I was self-employed from 1991 to 2009, before that I worked for an architectural practice, and when I first left Manchester Polytechnic I worked for a landscape contractor in West London. I also taught on the garden design course at The Inchbald School of Design for 18 years, and did shorter periods tutoring/lecturing at Middlesex University, Kingston University, Berkshire College of Agriculture, Merrist Wood and Morley College.
I've designed three Chelsea Flower Show gardens, spanning from 1985 and '86 to 2006.
I have team managed landscape design, biodiversity, public rights of way, development of new public open space, commenting on planning applications, and more recently Biodiversity Net-Gain and planning for Green Infrastructure.
