Public engagement is now open on the London Plan Guidance for the Urban Greening Factor (UGF). Development should help to make London greener. To achieve this, London Plan Policy G5 requires all major developments to include urban greening as a fundamental element of site and building design. The policy introduces the use of an Urban Greening Factor (UGF) to evaluate the quantity and quality of urban greening provided by a development proposal. The Mayor will publish draft Urban Greening Factor guidance to support boroughs and applicants in meeting the requirements of the London Plan and would like your feedback. Public engagement on this guidance will close on 20th December 2021. To take part in the consultation, please visit the consultation portal. GLA would love to hear your views and to see you at the engagement events (details and links to register below).
