I have been awarded a short (reporting by last week in March) but interesting contract by Natural England. I have joined the study to inform recommendations for the scope of new joint management plan guidance for National Parks and AONBs in England. I am now searching for two things: I would like to know what issues are those seeking to manage large English landscapes going to have to take account of in the next 10 years or so; and I would like to secure a few examples of recent exemplary and/or innovative landscape-scale management plans (for any large area – not just National Park or AONB) I am seeking thoughts from outside of the protected landscape family. Are you able to offer any insight or advice that might help me (and Natural England) with this project? All help gratefully accepted and acknowledged. Paul Tiplady FLI- 2 replies
